The best furniture wears Gabriel
Gabriel beyond Trevira

Fabrics developed by Gabriel offer exceptionally functional and emotional utility value for the user.
– Gabriel
The last issue put Gabriel’s Trevira CS on the chair. This issue goes beyond it, into wool, recycled fibres and microfibre.
Gabriel is the world’s most specified woven fabric brand. It is on furniture from Herman Miller, Fritz Hansen, Gubi, Flokk and Fameg, and on much of the imported furniture specified in Australia and New Zealand.
Why the best furniture brands choose Gabriel
Designed with purpose
Each Gabriel fabric is an original, built decision by decision: fibre, structure, colour. Savak shows the depth of it. As Gabriel’s designers put it, “Aesthetic is also a function.”
Quality you can feel
Operators run a finger across the cloth at the loom. Hundreds of requirements are designed to ensure every fabric is fault free. End-user claims run at 0.02% a year.
Responsible for decades
Gabriel took heavy metals out of its dyes in the 1980s and adopted ISO 14001 in 1996. Today 83% of its fabrics carry the EU Ecolabel.
Built to be kept
Every Gabriel fabric carries a 10-year guarantee. One chair at Gabriel has worn the same 100% wool cover since 1998.

Cura Loop
A second life for textile waste
Gabriel Loop turns textile waste into new fabric. Gabriel collects offcuts from its own production and from customers, including Steelcase. The system won the Danish Design Award in 2024.
Cura Loop is made entirely from textile waste. Its construction and look match Cura, a fabric many designers already specify.

- 100% textile waste
- 100,000 Martindale
- EU Ecolabel and EPD
- Fully recyclable
