Every custom print is made on a commercial base and carries that base's fire result: a Group number to AS 5637.1, or a class to EN 13501-1. It takes the wear and the cleaning of a commercial building as the base does.
Every custom print is made in a manufacturer's own factory, on print lines built for wallcovering and film. A design team prepares the artwork, recolours a design or rescales it for the wall. Where a brief needs a technique beyond those lines, the manufacturer commissions a specialist.
Start from your own artwork, or from a mural or pattern in the range below, drawn by the manufacturers for print. A design from the range is printed to the size of the wall, and can be recoloured, rescaled or extended to the brief.
How it is made
Digital custom print, from one square metre.Any image, printed at the size of the wall: your own artwork, or a design recoloured, rescaled or extended. It goes onto the base the room needs, smooth, embossed, metallic or natural, or onto glass film and the wraps on doors and joinery, with no repeat and no cylinder to make.
Traditional custom print, from 500 lineal metres.A repeat pattern printed by roller, as a manufacturer's own ranges are made: a custom colour, a custom print, or a custom emboss pressed in by an engraved roller. Commissioned for the project, so the texture exists nowhere else.

Supplied at 300 dpi, up to 1400 dpi.

Your base preference, or the design intent: the look and finish the wall needs.

Wall plan.
We adapt the artwork to the dimensions and send a wall plan for approval, with a colour reference sample if required.

Print.
Once the artwork is approved, we print, ship and install if needed.
Worked example
A hotel briefed its guest rooms by the light each one faces: a sunrise in pink on the east side of the building, a sunset in green on the west. Each scheme had to run across the walls and the scalloped cabinetry alike.
The challenge was the colour, which had to hold across two materials: a metallic mylar wallcovering on the walls, and an architectural film on the joinery. Our UK print team printed the whole package together, to one colour reference, from one wall plan.
Hume installed the mock-up room, on the walls and around the scalloped joinery, so the gradient reads unbroken from wall to cabinet.

Yes, on film. The artwork is printed in reverse onto clear film and read through it, at twice the ink density so the colour holds when light passes through, then mounted to acrylic.
Yes. We supply and install to meet the needs of the project. Each panel is numbered on the wall plan, in the order it hangs.
