When only the best will do
The world’s most specified woven fabric.
Fabrics developed by Gabriel offer exceptionally functional and emotional utility value for the user.
Function & feeling, both inseparable.
That’s not a positioning statement. It’s the design principle that separates Gabriel from every other woven fabric brand in the world. Gabriel doesn’t treat performance and emotional experience as separate briefs. They engineer both simultaneously. Every Gabriel fabric has to survive a commercial brief — rub count, fire ratings, cleanability. It also has to change how a room feels. Not as a secondary consideration. As an intention held from the first thread.

Six decades of proof.
Tove Kindt-Larsen designed Savak in the 1960s. The stripe she drew wasn’t decoration — it was proportion: a means of changing how furniture reads in a room, how light falls across a surface, how a space settles. Not competing with a room — completing it. That intention — in the rhythm of the stripe, in the construction, in the way it performs — was executed so precisely that Savak went onto the icons of Danish furniture design. Decades on, it hasn’t dated. It has accumulated.

A body of knowledge, expressed as a fabric.
Gabriel accumulated what those rooms taught — how the stripe reads at scale, how virgin wool deepens with use, how a two-tone colour relationship shifts the perception of a space. Knowledge you can’t design. Only earn.
Which brings us to its continuation: Savak NU — not a new beginning but a continuation of expertise, shaped by decisions over time: material, structure, colour. Cenk Kivrikoglu’s new palette grew from everything Savak had accumulated. The result holds a room in a different way.
Through colour play, two tones stop reading as a stripe — they become proportion, architectural rather than graphic. The yarn has been refined too: softer in hand, different in how it catches the light. Pieces upholstered in it stand differently in a space.

One family. Three ways to use it.

Savak NU
The new expression. 22 striped colourways, each built from two tones that shift with the light. The stripe as proportion — bringing architectural rhythm to a sofa, a banquette, a room.

Savak NU uni
The plain. Every NU stripe, mirrored as a matching solid. 22 tones that ground the pattern, or stand quietly on their own.

More than just a fabric.
Every single one.
Herman Miller, Fritz Hansen, Gubi, Flokk, Fameg — they choose Gabriel because of what the fabric does to a room. Not just what it withstands. Savak NU is one proof of that.
Gabriel doesn’t make fabric that just performs. They make fabric that transforms — what a room does and how it feels to be in it. In our next issue: the full library — 80+ ranges, the same intention explored across velvet, wool, recycled, mesh, and more.
