What separates the good vinyl from the bad vinyl?
The backing
Cheap vinyl uses a basic woven base. Stiff, difficult to upholster, lacks drape. Quality vinyl uses a knitted textile backing — moves and drapes like leather.

84% PVC compound, 16% PES knitted fabric. Drapes and upholsters like the real thing.
The plasticiser
Low-grade plasticisers migrate over time. The surface cracks and peels.
