I could paint for a hundred years, a thousand years without stopping and I would still feel as though I knew nothing – Paul Cezanne
The industry is revisiting wall coverings in a big way. Recently, Home Improvement Pages published an online article comparing paint versus wallpaper. What did they discover?
Paint remained the most popular wall treatment for many years because it was the cheapest and easiest way to give a room an instant makeover. However, oil based paint is slow to dry and needs a long drying time between coats. It also needs to be applied by a professional as it has a tendency to run, curtain and so forth. Also, the higher the oil content in the paint, the less resistant it is to heat.
Wallpaper will last a good deal longer than paint. In fact, many modern wallpapers last for ten to fifteen years – five times longer than paint under normal conditions – making it a very economical choice. Over time, you can save over 30 percent of your repainting costs just by choosing wallpaper!
Wallpaper is unmatched in the aesthetic value that it brings to a room and can be used to create an astonishing variety of effects. We use coverings that are long wearing, scrubbable, easy to apply and easy to remove without damaging the original surface. Amazing results can be achieved using fabric backed vinyl, paper backed vinyl, clay backed veneers and paper backed veneers.
