Brand spotlight: Gabriel fabrics
When only the best will do
Gabriel products combine style, quality & function
“Fabrics developed by Gabriel offer exceptionally functional and emotional utility value for the user.”
Gabriel has for many years been the No. 1 Woven fabric brand in the world. As rated by Herman Miller, Fritz Hansen, Gubi, Flokk, Fameg and many others. It is probably best known through the many imported furniture items that are sold in Australia and New Zealand using Gabriel fabric selections but, is also available for local specification and supply through Hume.
Most imported furniture pieces only access a very limited subset of the range. Gabriel has over 80 different range items in a variety of fabrics, textures, finishes, each with a wide array of colour coordinated choices.
Gabriel built their brand through furniture manufacturers first and specifiers second. Hence the brand is highly credentialed, certified to:
- EU Ecolabel
- Oeko Tex Standard 100
- Cradle to Cradle Certified
- LEED
- Reach
- Well
- Greenguard etc…
Most recently they have launched LOOP textiles crafted through textile to textile recycling, made from a blend of recycled textile waste and post-consumer recycled polyester.
