Savak is one of Gabriel's classics, designed in the early 1960s. Savak has been used to upholster a number of Danish furniture classics, and together with the furniture, it has remained fashionable to the present time. Savak consists of four designs: a plain design, two regular striped designs, and the most typical with its irregular long stripes.

Today, Savak is a testament to classic construction and classic aesthetics. Made by 80% New Zealand wool and 20% cotton, Savak is woven on a cotton warp, which is constructed in the bottom of the textile, while the woollen yarn covers the surface. The long fibres of the wool beautifully intertwines with the voluminous warp yarn. The melange design is unique by its minimal content of coloured or white fibres, which are mixed into the yarn using a special technique by Gabriel.
