Hume Internationale is an importing company. The company was formed in 1973 as a wall covering importer and wholesaler offshoot company of S.E.Hobson P/L, the largest Australian distributor of Berger Paints at that time. S.E.Hobson P/L, painting & decorating contractors date back to the latter part of the 19th Century. Their business was based in Ballarat, but Hume Internationale was located in Melbourne. The present owners who acquired the company in 1986 are part of the wider Hobson family and continue the formidable history in this industry. No one knows or understands the Australian interior design industry better.
