Drapilux introduced the ground breaking trevira CS fabrics to the market, creating in 1980 scope for an aesthetically demanding and simultaneously safe contract furnishing. They are known throughout the world as pioneers of aesthetic and functionally intelligent contract furnishings. Since 1980 the brand has extended the fabric intelligence to incorporate: spatial acoustics; textiles providing guaranteed fresh air; and antimicrobial drapes and curtains.
In 2010 the brand introduced another world first: fabrics incorporating the drapilux all in one product: the air purifying characteristics of drapilux air combined with the antimicrobial effect of drapilux bioactive. This combination is unique in the world and exclusive to drapilux.
The range is fully OEKO-TEX® certified having appropriately satisfied the OEKO-TEX® standard 100 test requirements. The OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 is a globally uniform testing and certification system for textile raw materials, intermediate and end products at all stages of production with the aim of completely eliminating harmful substances.
Hume Internationale is an importing company. The company was formed in 1973 as a wall covering importer and wholesaler offshoot company of
S.E.Hobson P/L, the largest Australian distributor of Berger Paints at that time.
S.E.Hobson P/L, painting & decorating contractors date back to the latter part of the 19th Century. Their business was based in Ballarat, but Hume Internationale was located in Melbourne. The present owners who acquired the company in 1986 are part of the wider Hobson family and continue the formidable history in this industry.
